Hautes-Alpes
Ever since I was a child, I've been crazy about the Hautes-Alpes in France. In 2019, I traveled alone in a beat-up old car to Ailefroide to climb the Glacier Blanc, a route I'd climbed with my father as a child. Ten years after his dead in 2009 I found the courage going back to our beloved glacier.
I took photos with my first analog camera, a Minolta. The trip was ruined by an avalanche, so I returned in 2020 and made it safely to refuge Glacier Blanc. In 2021 I went again and made it to 3400 meters with a mountaineer. In 2025, I climbed the neighboring Glacier Noir for the first time. Again alone, but naturally accompanied by my Canon AV-1 camera. My goal is to climb the Barre des Ecrins and shoot beautiful analogue photos on top.
